Experience in the industry: Trained as an aeronautical engineer and a project manager, Thivash has acquired twenty-two years of engineering, management and leadership experience in the global aerospace, maritime, logistics and defence industries. He has been fortunate to work with industry experts in Bae Systems, Saab Aerosystems, Denel, Transnet, Eskom, and others to design, develop, and deploy world class simulation systems for engineering analysis and training. Coupled to this he has undertaken academic projects with CSIR (South Africa), RMIT (Australia), TU Delft (Netherlands), KTH (Sweden), WITS (South Africa) to develop simulation technology demonstrators. All these simulations have application in several industries.
